Does a lottery pick really need an agent?

I'm asking the question cuz I don't know. I thought salaries were locked in based on position one is drafted. Maybe just need a lawyer with solid sports contract background? I could see where one would want representation as far as endorsement stuff, but not sure as far as an initial contract coming out of college.
