What's the deal with so many kids having Vanderbilt and Buffalo/Akron on their lists?

Cant go by AKRON=MAC offers everybody. Why not?Hmmm... here are some other schools that got commitments from players who also got offers from Akron: West Virginia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Maryland, Penn State, Illinois, Stanford, Cincy, Michigan, Florida...
What's up with that?
Maybe you were indulging like "the dude" when you posted it.Well, It's good to see that so many of you agree with me. Sheesh...good thing I'm not running for a political office.
For comparison, everyone believes Rutgers has been killing it this year but RS only rates their class #43.
I'm in the minority here but I feel a little underwhelmed with our recruiting class so far. I guess my expectations were a bit higher coming into this recruiting season.
Now that's a shame when people be throwin' away a perfectly good football player like that.... blah ...
Didn't you see who it is?we are losing two possibly three key recruits at the end so our recruiting finish although not as bad as our season finish is weak. losing two maybe three lb recruits one has to wonder why Doug waited so long to replace Dan. i sure as heck hope that we are in for a great coach and not another kid relative from some past coaching buddy
we are absolutely going backwards-----slip sliding away---sorry but that is how i see it...has taken a fairly substantial step backwards this year? Between the non-committal commitments, the recruiting battles we've lost and the players we never had a chance with, it seems like all momentum with this team has stopped.
All we seem to hear is rumors on players being flipped away and lost recruiting battles....or JUCO recruits that we shouldn't be relying on in year #4.
I don't think the recruiting damage caused by last season's 5 game nosedive can be understated.
Even after the product on the field this season that recruits were watching?
Theoretically, the recruits committing this year were based on Syracuse's success last season. Hence, the reason for the disappointment. Next year may be even more disappointing based on this season's debacle.
I don't think I would say backwards but disappointing a bit yes! Those issues you mention are groin kicks to be sure. Those five effn loses didn't help nor did the numbers mess they screwed up on. Still its not a total loss in recruiting . We have some quality in there One more week to see if we get flipped by too many of this quality. I expect one or two for sure....has taken a fairly substantial step backwards this year?
