Does anyone know SWC personally?

Some of the Mods and Admins here have reached out to SWC to tell him how much he is missed and to ask whether there is anything we can do for him. He has responded to a few of these outreaches. Those who received responses will attempt to continue to be in touch with him. His condition seems to be much as he described it in his post.

Apologies for the delayed response. Was traveling.

Thank you for the response.

Hope to see him back here soon.

Who can give us an update on how he is feeling?

Has he started treatments?

And can let him know we are all thinking about him.
Today (3/12), Steve was moved from Community General Hospital to Francis House, a Hospice facility. There will be no further treatments. Just palliative care.

Cards and messages would be appreciated.

The address is:

So sad. We just spoke 9 days ago and were discussing having visitors to see him at his home.

I've recently had experience with The Francis House. A great service. They do everything possible to ensure your last days are as pleasant and painless as possible.

I was impressed with the facility and the care. Steve will be comfortable.

So true, I have experience with them too. It’s a very special place and happy that Steve is there with such wonderful people during this time.

Very glad Steve got into Francis House the staff and care there is wonderful.
That is what I hoped would happen when the time came.
My cousin spent her last month there, she battled cancer for almost 2 years, and fortunately she was able to get in there.

The Upside, Cali and Dan gain an amazing historian. The downside is rough. We’ll miss you Steve. Your insights, anecdotes, and Coach show recaps. Thank you for the years of wonderful reading. The board has been better because of you.
