I have always valued Dick in Michigan's opinions but if that's truly his reason for no longer being here, it's pretty flimsy if you ask me. The ignore button exists for a reason. Personally, I only read the threads I want, and the posts and opinions of people I actually respect, for the most part. I'm not sure why that's so hard for others to do, frankly.

You can read what you want, and ignore what you want. To use that stuff as an excuse to leave is weak, to be honest. For the most part the discussions here during the season are worthwhile and relevant. Do people stray off topic now and then? Of course they do. Welcome to the internet. Hell, not just the internet, welcome to life. People go off on tangents all the time, and if a few people are engaging in a conversation that doesn't interest you, you know what? You don't have to listen.

Sorry, but not everyone is going to want to talk about the same things, and not everyone is going to have the same kind of humor, and not everyone is going to have the same uniform opinions. You come into a community like this and people are going to come from varying backgrounds and walks of life and different things will amuse them. You don't have to like it, but to use it as an excuse to leave seems kinda small and, frankly, elitist to me.
