Against Wake 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015

Passer rating of 143

Not against wake those same years

Passer rating of 111

We might need to cool our jets about Dungey. If he had had the Wake game later in the year instead of first thing, we might not have gotten so excited. His passer rating after CMU was 119.

i'm still a believer because he was a true freshman. but i'm less convinced he's a sure thing because Wake just sucks so bad.

Wake has had a decent defense in the past. Not sure about this year.

I do think we got a touch over excited - but we had to watch Hunt throw for a year and a half, followed by Long/Wilson/the guy who transferred. Competency never looked so good.

A lot of people said that Dungey would get a lot better as the season wore on. I mentioned something to the effect of he might get better, but we wouldn't necessarily see it in his performance because the competition would get better and they'd scout him/our offense better. I think that likely happened.

I'm still high on Dungey because stats aside, the guy made some plays and had a feel for passing that we haven't seen in a while. If he starts for three more years my guess is he owns our record book, especially with an offensive minded HC.

as a passer he needs work, he was good out of the gate because he was great at extending plays and making plays with his feet.
