Ward has blitzed some. Not nearly as much as Shafer would've, but he has.

I literally was pissed when we rushed 3 on that one third and long... Then he hit the guy for a 56 yard gain. Literally anyone could be found with that amount of time

How soon we forget Black's sack vs BC - rushed 4 on 3rd down - just about iced the game.

Also - today Ellison almost blew Finley up on a S blitz.

the long pass wasnt an issue of time it was an issue of blown coverage though. it wasnt like we were chasing an open WR, no one covered him at all.
