Ha! Saw this earlier. Pitino's gone rogue and just wants the Big East to be a basketball conference again (probably what happens at this point). Funny thing about him and all of the "How could SU do this to the league they started?" talking heads at ESPN is that they change the lens to suit their arguments. TCU to Big 12? Great move by a school that's really worked for it. Texas A&M to SEC? Finally done getting bullied by Texas. Us? Traitors.

We jumped at an opportunity, and Louisville's about to jump at one, too. Folks just needs to stop pretending this is about anything but money and accept the new landscape for what it is: A better arrangement for SU than we had before.

He really is a dope. Between his affair, his reference to how leaving the league was like cheating on one's wife and now this, he just looks stupid. Perhaps he should go back to PC and he can help create a basketball only league. Too bad; I used to like the guy.
