Anyone get caught in the lack of food issues in the concessions?

From the mid 2nd quarter on many places had nothing but some pretzels to server.

I did manage and Ice cold dog pre-game.

if they want to server it at least cook it.

And I was in the new area just before kickoff and they were out of many things as well.

A dome security guard told me before the game they were expecting 35k people. I was like what? I assumed he was just wrong.

people came in earlier than usual so they may have sold a lot more stuff pre game.

Yup. We shut down the tailgate a little early and got inside earlier than normal as well. 5 hours in that wind was enough

The new Miron area is nice, but it needs more food stands and probably more tables. Its nice though.

The food overall at the Dome is total garbage, we have upgraded the seats, scoreboards, and everything else. They really need to figure out the food situation. More options, better quality. Outside of the popcorn and maybe the pizza (if you can find a concession stand with it), the other food is not edible. And bring back the fountain sodas!

It could use about 100 more tables.

They have been running out of pizza all season long as well.

Miron was cool. Walking outside It looked like it was only partially open. Can anyone confirm?

DONT GET ME STARTED ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF FOOD IN THE DOME!

When I did it in the 80's as a teenager we had food to take home (actually extra was donated)... We never ran out... And we had to walk up hill through snow both ways and uphill with parking 10 blocks away to get some cash for running booths that are not SU ran or independent contractors, and this was my Auburn Marching Band booster club, and even a few others back in the early 2000's when I worked for another company.

They didn’t run out of beer, and it wasn’t for a lack of my trying.

We went in thru Miron around 2:40, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Dome that packed that early. Took forever to get around to the corner to head downstairs.

I'm annoyed at missing the good craft beer stand near the 200 section N Side... I didn't go there last game, but Miami I went to the court the first time... but alot of craft beer is now hard to find that the new section opened... Can't find stuff like Lawsons... it all Sloop/Meiers/Some Sierra Nevada... that it...

No Prison City or Lawsons... etc..

It's the only food they sell outside of popcorn that doesn't taste like crap

The Hot Dogs suck, the chicken is often soggy, pre-wrapped Subs...whatever. I didn't try the pulled pork in the new Miron area because it was a zoo and couldn't get to it, but even if it was good the point is only selling it there isn't ideal.

There has to be a better way to prepare the hot dogs, and have a decent food option or two at every concession stand. It can't be that difficult. I go to other stadiums to see games every now and then and its like night and day. Nobody is asking for Sushi and prime rib, but a decent hot dog, a decent burger and fries, and pizza should be at EVERY concession stand at the Dome. And sell Ice Cream on the 200/300 level as well.

Just my 2 cents. If they did any of that I (and I am sure others) may actually spend money on food there. The past two years I have pretty much stopped cause its so friggin bad. Now I just go to the game, get a water, and go out to eat after the game someplace good. They get no concession money from me anymore after nothing ever changing or improving

They have a large selection including those mentioned in the upper level in the middle of the end zone. It was almost empty by 315 pm the Miami game but was being restocked

The food situation is awful. They need to address it. If you are going to have limited options at least have those options made correctly.

They got rid of fountain drinks. Ok, If thats the plan than do that well.

Pepsi makes many sodas. From what i can tell they offer very few

Pepsi
Diet Pepsi
Mountain Dew
Orange Crush

So one diet flavor.

No RB, no DR Pepper. No Ginger Ale. None of the off shoot varieties.
They literally have 100s of coolers and they are selling about 4 brands and you cant get all those flavors in many of the areas.

As people have mentioned the beer situation is also broken

Why can't they come up with a place in the app/web site to tell people where you can get the drinks you want. Its a zoo getting around the dome as it is and not knowing what is being served where is a joke

Obviously, they have no idea how to run the food part. Again, foods are in random areas. If you are in the 300s and want a burger good luck. What good are the grab and go if they are empty or don't sell even the main products most of the time. Then when you actually find the food its ice cold. This has to be job one to fix the Dome experience. Cook food outside if they have to and put in some dumb waiter solutions if they can't figure out how to cook a hot dog. Don't grill them, to other Hoffmans brands that can be boiled or steamed. Figure out how to have buns less than 4 weeks past due date. Other places figured it out.

The new area is nice.. If all you want to do is watch a game. I got there after 3. No food in the booth I finally got to. Its way over crowded. I think they should charge to get in. And people are slobs. They at least had a few tall tables. But again with so many people its hard to get around in. Then add in people just up and left the table full of debris and walked away. Having the ticket area be inside took away another 30-40 ft of space inside. But as people found out if you sit anywhere west of the 50 don't try to go to the new area. It might take 20-30 min to get around the packed concourses. They really need to find a way to do it on the west end. Why not do something that isnt completely connect to the dome. They create some cutouts to a new area. Seems like you could do this on a couple levels. The lower could be open air if they wanted and the upper into the 2-300s could be a a few bridges cut into the walls like they did on the east side. this could be done without much impact on the dome you would think until you did the connection part. There is Easly twice as much empty space on the west side as Miron area was built in.

Move ticketing in some places away from the gates, cover the gate areas and create more space inside the dome for things. The whole entry on the south side is wasted and then people get jammed in the old turnstile doors? Why are we still using turnstile doors?

If it just Meiers and Sloop it wasn't the same craft stand... There is only so many Juice Bombs, NIL PIS = not craft anymore... The others were definitely missing. Trust me I know beer.. I'll drink them as an afterthought if nothing else is left at this point. FYI All the shelves behind were empty.
