Donnie Freeman injures foot

Being in a boot for walking impacts your muscle strength. It takes 3-4 days to start loosing muscle mass in walking in a boot. He will come back but there will be a few games (1-2) for getting back to where he was before. I hope he recovers quickly.

GO CUSE

Sounds like Freeman is shutting it down. Do others feel that?

As for some of Park questioning fans' commitment - ok, I get that you're a mouthpiece for the program, and they are your employers. But that was garbage.

Standing up for Choppa, but also kind of not. I find him to be a guy who talks out of both sides of his mouth. He's a PR guy, not a sportscaster.

Red said in the other video that he's still day-to-day. Hasn't been ruled out for the rest of the season.

We'll see if he's still in the boot on Saturday.

Yeah, but the point that both "day to day" and "the rest of the season" were used in the same answer with respect to the same injury, that's just not how sports injuries are usually reported by teams to the media.

It sounds to me like his handlers are saying, "Red is scapegoating you. The team is trash this year. Why not just sit out the rest of the season, not damage your brand, and let's see what happens."

Day to day isn’t day to day if he’s missed three games and hasn’t played since January 4th.

It’s a lie that’s hilariously clear since, ya know, he’s missed THREE GAMES and hasn’t played since January 4th.

To your point, saying he’s day to day but might be out for the season, that is not day to day. Especially since Red said there “is no timeline”!!!

I get they have to do this show. And I get coaches just say stuff. But holy crap is this close to the line in 1984, “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”

If he's actually fit and still feigning injury/refusing to play, holy schnikies!

I really hope that is not true.

Infuriating if that ends up being true. I have my doubts. But Quitting on your team because handlers tell you to, that would tell NBA scouts a lot about this kid’s lack of grit and determination.

like Chris McCullough?

What an NBA superstar he became.

The article this morning doesn’t sound good. It also flips between injury and “his camp, his family” which sounds odd. Like he’s disgruntled and using it as an excuse to shut down.

you mean like skipping bowl games ? doesn't seem to affect draft status in the least. donnie freeman or no donnie freeman this team ain't making the dance. i'm sure he wants to play . what player doesn't ? it's what they love. but if his people are telling him playing could aggravate his condition you best sit.

Wild azz guess..

He's got a stress fracture in his foot, and it's a pain tolerance thing.

It'll heal on its' own, but not before the season ends.

Or he can have surgery and it'll heal faster, but he'll definitely miss the rest of the season.
