Great.

HAL ing 9000 has weighed in.

In his weekly radio appearance on ESPN Syracuse (97.7 FM), Autry said that Freeman was still said day-to-day, but indicated that the sophomore forward was getting closer to a return.

“He’s working,’' Autry said while talking with hosts Steve Infanti and Paulie Scibilia. ”He’s back (and) moving and doing things. The signs are all good. We expect him back soon. I just can’t give everybody a time-table, unfortunately.’'

Autry said Freeman’s current injury is not season-ending.

“He will be back this year,’' Autry said. ”That is not the issue.’'

Autry has said Freeman’s curent injury is not the same as the one that sidelined Freeman last season.

NBA drafts on potential.
yes, they want players who potentially are healthy enough to play at least three quarters of the time when they are young. if you were deep into the draft. Donnie is the best available player, but he has been injured with leg issues for the vast majority of his college career. Do you take him or the next player who shows no sign of injury history?

But none of those guys had 2 injury plagued college seasons before being drafted. Besides Chris M, do you see Donnie on the level of those players?
unsure. Just saying I've seen people drafted with both greater and less potential than Donnie. He's a big man.
Those guys did have injury concerns, btw. Big ones.

The fact Red specifically said, "he's back moving" leads me to conclude he has been dealing with some form of paralysis, which would point to a spinal cord injury. It's just like an episode of Grey's Anatomy. Art really does imitate life at times.
;)

Donnie won’t get drafted, not just injury issues. Much different world with the NBA draft now, guys are staying in college longer with NIL available and so many international players are drafted now, two rounds don’t allow for a lot of room
