Donnie Freeman Injury Updates (Not Out)

We get Donnie back...and assess things after a couple of games.
We'll know what we got... players AND COACH.

Level 5...? That is beginning to wear thin...
At home and CUSE was outrebounded by 10.
Not gonna cut it against average ACC teams.
Over under on Clemson’s offensive rebounds has to be 20

The ceiling is capped because Autry just isn’t good enough at coaching offense but Freeman is by far our most versatile so that helps any offensive system.
I wish our guys would watch good offensive teams play and pick up some things, if the coaches aren't teaching them. Too many guys standing around watching JJ drive.

UGH. The saga continues. Hope he's back soon of course.

Someone did confirm that Freeman is practicing, correct?

I'm sure Autry hears the criticism. Devo talks about how we make it much harder on ourselves offensively (lack of motion) every game he does. It sounds like it pains him like it does us. I think if Autry knew how to coach it he would. That's the disappointing part.

Well I hope someone gives him a robe or something when he shows up to the JMA

I can't stand watching our team play offense. Having said that, Autry played at a high level and has coached at a high level and I'm sure he has gone to countless seminars and clinics. It just can't be that he doesn't know how. It just can't be.

Yeah, you would think.

That's why he runs the same offense when JB was there.

It’s worse actually. JB would run more screens for Kingz and Betsey if he coached this team. The one thing he did well was he made sure his best shooters didn’t go multiple possessions without touching the ball.
feels like the same offense ...but JB was better in-game

when watch the offense i really wonder how much influence JB still has on the program

one of the few reasons I was happy to see JB go was the idea of getting modern schemes on offense and defense - the defense seems to have gotten that upgrade, the offense, alas, no

maybe thats why he insisted on having an assistant be hired (or whatever the rumors were) maintaining some influence

Knowing vs teaching. Plenty of very knowledgeable people in their area of expertise who have no clue how to be a teacher.

Donnie was not expected to play against St. Joes or Hofstra. As I said, he had his first half practice back Wednedsay. Trending to come back for Stonehill, but hoping for Northeastern. This is an injury you need to make sure he's 100% healed from
What is the injury?
