What really chaps my ass is we don’t even know if Betsey is 100% either he’s . Then considering Sadiq played what 10 mins against Monmouth. These guys including Kiyan aren’t ready to go extended mins against Houston.

I think we’re going to see more Fennell and Suare and Zephier and for longer than we want tonight and it could get ugly but maybe the best choice considering game 2 and game 3.

Good point with Betsey, especially if he is not 100%. Frustrating for sure. It will really be deflating if we get boat raced tonight

As an aside, I do find it funny how after Monmouth quite a few people were dragging Freeman's game, and now we're facing the prospect of him being out Willy and it's doomsday.

I’m not so much worried about tonight. It would be nice to see us face Houston with a heathy lineup, but the greater concern is the following 3 games. SU needs a few quality wins to bolster its resume.

If we are stuck in a halfcourt game, I don't see what Freeman brings to the table other than 5 fouls and maybe a trey. He doesn't rebound. He likes to camp on the perimeter and Red doesn't utilize him properly in a high-low, PNR game.

This is painfully accurate to what we've seen. He's big, but hasn't used his size well. He's talented, but hasn't been hitting shots.

I'd still rather have him than not, obviously.

He's good for 2-3 fadeaway turnovers and likely wouldn't get the favorable calls plowing to the basket that he did against the cupcakes.

Yes I'm talking myself into thinking we don't need him, but at the same time, I think his presence in the lineup is a bit overstated. If he was an aggressive rebounder then he would be a huge loss in a game like this.

Donnie moves the ball and adds another high level passer in the half court as well as another guy who can push the ball off a rebound comfortably. You want to have every arrow available in your quiver in these games and taking his passing and FT attempts and shooting away both are not easily replaced.

Reminder it's only 8AM in Vegas. Donnie has an extra 3 hours to recover before game time . Seriously even if he's limited he should try to go.

For him personally I know he needs to protect his longer term plans for getting to the league somehow but he's going to have to play some real competition. 1 injury ok, 2 is a trend, and 3X injuries becomes something he's known for.
