Isn't that the same early quote that he made last year after the injury?
I don't know, is it? Maybe you can find the quote.Isn't that the same early quote that he made last year after the injury?
Adrian Autry provided several updates on Donnie Freeman's lower leg/foot injury that occurred during the 2024-2025 season.Isn't that the same early quote that he made last year after the injury?

He had a fractured metatarsal and had surgery in February. Your definition of minor is...interesting.![]()
Syracuse basketball freshman Donnie Freeman will miss remainder of 2025 season
Donnie Freeman will have surgery and miss the rest of the season with Syracuse.www.nunesmagician.com
Two weeks ago, Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry said Freeman’s decision to either return or shut it down for the season was “more about the healing process and seeing where he’s at.”
Autry said that the decision ultimately “would be his call. His and his family.”
Freeman appeared in 14 games for the Orange this season. After initially being listed as “day-to-day” with a lower right leg injury on Jan. 8, Freeman has missed Syracuse’s last nine games.
he didnt have a season ending injury last year, though...he had a minor injury and decided to shut it down.
now looks like something similar...no?
Does anybody have any inside knowledge if Freeman is gonna be back for Tennessee?

Truer than you know lolBut then again - aren’t we all?
None of this stuff with Donnie's current injury makes a lot of sense. Why did he travel with the team instead of staying behind and getting comprehensive treatments with the trainers and medical specialists? Traveling to Vegas did absolutely nothing to accelerate the healing process from whatever he has. I personally am not convinced that it is unrelated to the prior 5th metatarsal fracture. I hope it's not but wearing a boot on that same foot is a red flag regardless of what kind of statement was released from the athletic department. Some clarity would be nice. If he doesn't play against Tennessee then I fear the communication style reminiscent of when Arinze was injured.
Maliq 2.0 lolHe's faking the injury so he can redshirt, transfer to Duke, and go off for 25 & 10 every time he plays against us.
My source said the reason he's wearing a boot is that his foot is gone. Yes, it was surgically removed by a specialist in Las Vegas. Apparently, he's the only doctor in the U.S. that performs unnecessary amputations (as an aside, he also performs weddings in a chapel through a side door of his OR).
My source is often wrong, so take this with a grain of salt.
He is a pro right now. Apparently the highest paid player on the team.Caution and patience are key here for Donnie. We need him healthy for as much of the season as possible and for his pro prospects.
So the rumor I hear about the peg leg is true...My source said the reason he's wearing a boot is that his foot is gone. Yes, it was surgically removed by a specialist in Las Vegas.
