So,, how are we judging 'talent'? Ability to hit an uncontested shot? Jumping height? Wingspan? Speed? It's one of those things pundits say and then never really have to back up, because they assume we know what they mean, and we assume we know that they mean.

'Talent' at what? Basketball. Your team has talent but a subpar record/resume? So what do you blame that on, coaching? So, if UK/UNC have the most talent ever year but fail to win the NCAA championship, why aren't Calipari and Roy considered the worst coaches in the world?

He just ranks purely on talent. From talent perspective I would agree with these. From current records/RPI//SOS these are useless.

Even giving that, if you want to rank purely on talent what's the point in playing? If you're going rank purely on talent, you could argue Connecticut is a top 10, top 15 team. But they aren't because they aren't playing well. UNC has four losses. In no way should they be ranked ahead of Syracuse in any scenario.
