Hope it was caught early and there is no concern going forward. Cancer, regardless of what type can be scary.

Now you got me worried. I have an appointment with a specialist when I get home from vacation to look at a funny spot I have. Yikes.

No reason to worry I have had Basal and Squamous carcinomas both easily removed by minor surgery,although the Basal required a second surgery to get some that was missed. No further trace, but I now keep a very close watch on my skin, and try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. The more dangerous kind that I mentioned is Melanoma, but it too can be taken care of with early detection.

Totally agree with the scary part, just the name invokes fear, but if you have to get a cancer, skin when caught early is relatively easy to get taken care of. Skin cancers are usually visible to the naked eye, symptoms can be readily seen in most cases, it is a matter of paying attention and taking action.

I hate the sun, can't stand being in it. Saying that, it's hard to avoid.my wife is a nurse, scans my body constantly, , if you know what I'm saying. But I'm worried. My step dad was a doctor for 40 years. And I had him look at my areas and he never gave me cause to be concerned. But. My personal doctor is concerned. When she recommend me to a specialist, the antennas went up. Now the wife is looking at areas of my body that I didn't know exisited.. Cancer is a family issue
