More scoring encourages the defense and puts less pressure on them to pitch shutouts.I 've heard it said that no team that has had fewer points than the opponent at the end of the fourth quarter has ever won a game. Besides exciting offense sells tickets and thats why they play the game. Its a freaking business. You want paid fannies in the seats make it worth while fo the fans to show up and enjoy themselves at the Dome.
