Down goes michigan

I love college hoops
No, you just hate the B1G, the Pac 10, the SEC, the YAK, the Big 12 and any ACC school not named Syracuse.

You love the MEAC, the Atlantic Sun, the Big South, the SWAC and any school playing FYukon.

What's your take on the only independent school out there (NJIT). The really suck so there is no use on preparing a dossier on them.

Well they have won 4 in a row.

Second final four team from last year to go down today. Plenty of scares and upsets early in the season. Let's hope our guys keep their focus across the ocean.

What a great win we had against St Francis! Gutted it out ! I expect big things in Maui!

I was surprised that Charlotte held on. It seemed like they went up 42-30 and then didn't score for the next hour or so - missing all sorts of easy shots while doing so.

And the Chargers won today - great sports day all around!

I hope Michigan slides back into the decade of irrelevance that preceded this latest little run

I know. Not a fan.

I love Stauskas, could barely walk after a whistle was blown, but was 100% fine whenever he was involved in a play. Oh, my guy has the ball - I'm good, not a hint of a limp. Whistle blows, I'm going to collllapse under the pain!!

Refs decided to actually call some fouls on McGary today. And suddenly he looked pretty average, or perhaps less. Where was that in March?

In fairness to McGary he is still not even close to 100% yet coming off that injury. By January he'll be beasting, imo.

So the refs cost us the final four game?

Man u r a diehard...

I love me some college hoops but Sunday is NFL day in my house...

Actually, yesterday was freezing-my-****-off watching an 8th grade girls lacrosse tournament day...then it was NFL day <sigh>...

Assume the refs are going to make bad calls. You have make shots and win in spite of the refs. Wait until we play Duke at home. If a referee doesn't call a foul Duke's way he will get arrested after the game by the local sheriff.

The NFL is having one of its worst years that I can remember. The overall play even by the supposed "good" teams (of which there are very very few) is on a pretty low level league wide. That combined with the constant stoppages and the ridiculous can't play defense rules has me less interested than I ever have been in the NFL this year. Its just a poor product lately and after watching the RedZone you realize basically nothing happens for 2.5 hours during most games, very little actual action.

Only Kanas has a better home court reffing advantage than Duke. En if you re a good Big12 team you have to outplay them by 12 to win their.

The Mich game reffing wasn't horribly one sided until a few at the end IMO. MCW was seriously jobbed at the end and Brandon should have been shooting an and 1.

My ex-boss's son goes to Michigan. So he invited me to come over to his house to watch the game. Man, I wish the Orange won that game! It was hard for me to cheer or yell at the refs during the game with Michigan fans sitting next to me. I don't think I will ever do that again! However, as bad as the loss to Michigan felt, after beating Indiana and then going to final four was all gravy as far as I was concerned. I'm still dining on the win over Indiana!!! It was a nationwide bracket busting win.

How could he have shot an and 1 when he missed the shot? It was a close call that went against us. It was not a horrible missed call. There were no bad calls in the Mich vs Char game last night. Both teams struggled on the offensive end and Char pulled it out in the end. The missed charge call was against MCW was bad the rest of the calls were close. Can we please move on from this and talk about this coming season.

Only Kansas in response to a Duke comment not Mich. You are correct Brandon missed the shot but he should have been shooting FT's IMO, clearly the player was not in position when he took off. Plus those type of calls just irk me because the player is not making any attempt at defending. There is no shot contest, there are no hands in the air, there is no attempt to strip the ball its only jumping in and hoping to get a charging call. I can't stand that type of defense because its not even trying to beat a guy to a spot to stop penetration its completely trying to get a charge call. Yuck.
You can move on when ever you'd like just like anyone can discuss that game when they like. It did end the season for us in the FF just last year. I still discuss games of that magnitude much long than this. I don't feel we lost that game do to reffing, although a couple of late calls made it very hard for us to complete a comeback. I felt we lost the game because we struggled to make shots, specifically James and MCW. And that is not meant to knock them either just to point out they didn't score very much and that made it hard to win the game.
