Sounds like an open-minded individual, open to others' opinions...

"By the time I'm finished here, if you still don't get it, congratulations. You care more about a famous coach than you do about innocent kids. And if that's how you want to roll, fine. But own it. Because after I'm done, after you read what I write, this will be the question you'll have to answer:
What matters more to me, a famous coach whose name I know? Or a bunch of kids, whose names I don't?
Up to you, but buckle up. Because here I go."

"If you don't agree with me, you are pro-child molestation."

"Buckle up, because here we go" while talking about something he wrote. Who the hell says stuff like that about stuff they wrote?

Dude must have had a few ribs removed...

I wont ever get that minute of my life back unfortunately.

For all we know it's still about money.

Guys like Doyle need to fill space.

"If you don't agree with me, you are pro-child molestation."

That's quite a wide brush to paint with on that comment...also I never read/saw the comments he says Boeheim made on the 18th.

People who see the world in such definitive black and white scare the crap out of me.

I've liked a lot of what Doyel has done, but jeez this is a hell of a stretch.

He also piled on Suh for stomping on that guy from Green Bay. He basically takes the days most disgusting story and makers it his personal vendetta to reek havoc so people will read his column so then he can send out hate mail responses.

These type of articles are to be expected. This column certainly won't be the last.

I just don't think that Doyel made a compelling argument. He provided none of the context around why JB made those statements he condemns--none. Which is what made that a fluff piece.

Doyle is a clueless a$$clown.

It's not as simple as "JB sided with a child molester and called accusers liars".

JB simply went with the information he had available to him at the time, and made a statement. Davis himself was implying JB knew what was going on because he allegedly saw them in a hotel room two decades ago.

JB lashed out while denying the allegations. He took a hard stance, probably a little too hard.

JB was not protecting a child molester. He was protecting a friend. All of the information JB had at that time period (including the investigations from 2003 thru 2005) led JB to believe Fine was innocent of the accusations.

Once JB had new evidence of Fine's guilt (the tape), then he changed his tune and acted accordingly.

People calling for JB's head should be ashamed of themselves.

Absolutely. He didn't even provide the point of the piece until it was 75% done, and half of it was telling us to prepare for his groundbreaking revelation...

Yeah, he basically said in that column that Suh is looking to kill someone on the field.

He clearly read the PS articles, yet doesn't make the connection that JB made the comments with the knowledge that he had 3 independent investigations supporting his position...Jesus Gregg, Davis has forgiven JB, and you should too.

Doyle, meet Karl Childers.

Yes, ma'am. I've killed Doyle Hargraves with a lawnmower blade. Yes, ma'am, I'm right sure of it. I hit him two good whacks in the head with it. That second one just plum near cut his head in two... It's a lil' ol' white house on the corner of Vine Street and some other street. There's a pick-up truck out front that says "Doyle Hargraves Construction" on it. Doyle said besides sending the police, you might wanna send an ambulance or a "hearst". I'll be sitting here, waiting on ye.

I would agree with Doyel except for one point that he is missing. The victim brought Jim Boeheim's name into this by saying Boeheim saw him (the victim) in Bernie's hotel room, on Bernie's bed, and responded with a dirty look. The victim has since back-tracked on this statement and Boeheim has stated several times that he has never even been in Bernie's hotel room, let alone seen a youth in there. Because of that I do understand why Boeheim would have reacted the way that he did.

While Bernie is guilty, I don't think the accusers have been 100% honest in their statements/dealings with the media. When Boeheim had false statements about him out there, coupled with the University investigation that implied Fine was 'not guilty', I can understand why he would come out with such venom.

Doyel will get a lot of hits from this article, so he did his job, I guess...

People like Doyle are the reason why suspending JB - even for a game - would be a huge mistake. You don't even acknowledge it in any way. It's like dealing with a little kid - you let them have their tantrum and don't give them any attention, and they get bored and move on.

Won't click on the link because that is what the guy craves, and needs to keep his job. Likely the company he works for gets paid by advertisers based on how many clicks are recorded.

I have not spoken or written anything nasty toward Bobby Davis, Lang, Bernie, Laurie, Mark Schwarz, JB, the police, Fitzpatrick, and even that Roche lady (remember her?).

That having been said...

*** this Doyle tool.

Not gonna agree or disagree with the point he's trying to make in that column.

But..not smart writing...

I'd never advocate firing someone for something they didn't know, and Boeheim didn't know about Bernie Fine's alleged behavior.

Nobody knows what Boeheim knows or knew or when he knew it...except JB.

Way too definitive a statement for someone who professes to be a logical and objective "journalist". I know he's a columnist and not a reporter, but 'just the facts' still should play into what you write.
