People like Doyle are the reason why suspending JB - even for a game - would be a huge mistake. You don't even acknowledge it in any way. It's like dealing with a little kid - you let them have their tantrum and don't give them any attention, and they get bored and move on.

SU BBall will be fine. All of this might effect play this season but after that it won't have much, if any impact. JB on the other hand could be in trouble. Worst case he is fired and the program moves on.

You are 100% correct. This is Doyle's shtick. He tries to piss off fan bases so they email out his links and post comments on CBS after his articles because it drives page hits. Which in turn drives advertising $$$. Which in turn drives his salary up.

Syracuse is a huge target right now and has a massive fan base to get riled. It's the perfect storm for Doyle

He is correct in all he says and though his conclusion is extreme, the fact is JB is damaged goods as a representative of SU. I think Nancy and the BoT are doing some soul-searching and some of them may very well come to the same conclusion as Doyle.

Exactly. He's made a career out of this. He writes whatever will illicit the most hate mail and then he published the hate mail from the dumbest people possible and acts super-smart and clever ripping them apart. Stopped reading him a long, long, long time ago.

It's going to snowball at a serious rate. It's 6:48am Monday as I am typing this. I am flipping around a few places to hear reaction. Thus far in the last 15 or so min, I have turned on WFAN they are saying fire Boeheim. I turned on SIRIUS Mad Dog Radio...FIRE JB. I turned on College Sports radio, FIRE JB! And a sports station out of Miami I listen to once in a while online on the computer, JB has to go!

It would not surprise me if Doyel was affected somehow by child abuse on a personal level. Not saying how, or that it is definitely true, but he has a LOT more emotion pent up on this topic than nearly anyone else I have seen, including many others who are calling for JBs head.

JB's statement was a step in the right direction last night. And Davis's reaction to that statement will certainly help. For the record, I have been saying since day one that JB is going to be held accountable for his words..."a pack of a thousand lies." I do not think, and have never thought, that JB was complicit in Fine's behavior.

Not sure what that "accountability" will look like (for Java's sake), reprimand, momentary "punishment" from SU, community/national service on behalf of abuse victims, temporary leave; hopefully, not his job. I am also of the opinion that JB should get out in front of this pubically when all the dust settles from whatever is about to happen to Fine. He needs to offer up some type of atonement apart from his statement last night.

I think this guys 100% correct. Back on Nov 18, I thought Fine better be innocent or else Boeheim may be in serious trouble keeping his job. His comments crossed the line.
