but Hunt has been told by Lester that he will play.

per one of the boys at PS

sorry tricky, didn't see you had mentioned as much in your thread

that's the absolute last thing I wanted to see. Has anyone ever seen a 2 quarterback system truly be successful other then maybe Northwestern, or Spurrier occasionally in his UF days? I just don't get it. Make the move to Hunt, get him prepared for Clemson and move on. Don't feel like you owe Allen anything. I feel terrible saying it, but that's what I feel is going on.

its not the worst option as the next 2 games both qb's should play with quality of opponent but after that they have to pick one and go with it for the majority of the rest of the season. 2 Qb systems can work if the 2 Qb's have different skill sets like one better at running while other is better pocket passer but if they have the same skills just pick 1

Exactly. I love the idea of the 2 qb system for the next 2 weeks. perfect time to do it. Then the coaches will have enough data to make a decision as to who starts in our historic win on October 5th.

Hell, it's a three game tryout.

They just need to make sure they win the next two and then the rest of the season is based on how each does against Clemson. That game is a throw away. Real season starts with NCSt.

One QB already had 2 games to "try out" and it didn't go so great. So lets give him about 47 more tries before the season is over. Then we can concentrate on next year with someone who will actually be here and have some skin in the game.

I refuse to concede defeat to anyone

solution.

start Allen the next 2 games, let him play the WHOLE game.

then start hunt v clemson and see how he does.

Oh Lord

Post 8000 in three days saying the same thing.

We get it.

You're really comparing this Clemson team to the Kragthorpe lead Cards? Andy Robinson and Max Suter aren't walking through the door.;)

I will be happy to eat crow and lots of it if we beat the next 3 opponents.

I don't even have 400 posts yet but point taken.

Lol. God that kick return was great. I was standing in a bar called Fargo in Aurora NY. I remember the women in the bar were more attracted to my wife than me. True story

Let them compete for the starting job versus Clemson in the next two games. Perfect time to do it with a bye week after the Tulane game.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

There's only one reason I'm even remotely interested in attending Saturday's game and it's Terrel Hunt. I have no desire to watch the 6'5 Texan fail at throwing the ball over the o-line in person.

Everyone should watch Lester's video.

Fascinating that:

* "Drew made 72 good plays, 4 really bad ones."
* Hunt made a bad read on his TD.

I sense this coaching staff has a very solid resolve moreso than stubbornness. Interesting to see how this all plays out.

My biggest question would be then what constitutes a bad play. I saw the entire game. I did not see 72 good plays. I did see the 4 really bad ones, plus more. But, if Allen is going to be their QB can they ditch the read option? He has run the ball once this year. Its not a threat. That backside end that they don't block because he has to stay home doesn't have to stay home. That's why PTG was getting tackled after 2 yards.

The resolve being?

What?

That Drew is the better option and must be given every chance to succeed?

The resolve being the mindset of the position coach who helps determine who plays.

sooo ... the guy still got 7 out of a mistake - play Hunt

Apples to apples, true.

Considering the play was made against the opponent's third-string in a base D when the game is out of reach...

We have two games to play QB ranking games...I'm not worried as long as we have #1 and #2 by Clemson.

Allen needs to come out and lead the team to a TD on the first drive or the calls for Hunt or going to get louder and louder. Everyone always loves the backup QB to begin with, when the starter has 6 picks in the first two games they really love the backup.
