I’d take him in a heartbeat to be our offensive coordinator. He’s a great quarterback coach. One of the very best.
Sign me up for Cutcliffe.I’d take him in a heartbeat to be our offensive coordinator. He’s a great quarterback coach. One of the very best.
Was Gilbert fired to open up a spot for Cutcliffe?
That would be pretty good if Cutcliffe came here and brought the two QBs with him that he beat us for the past two years.
Would he really retire at duke to come to SU as the OC? Seems highly unlikely IMO.
Did he retire? Or was he asked to leave…
He's done. It's a young mans game today.
Jimmy B is not exactly the best rebuttal to that, Steve. Timing matters, too.Jim Boeheim says "Hi!"
Even bigger accomplishment is four of them were first rounders in Shuler, Peyton, Eli and Daniel Jones.Or even if he just brought himself.
David Cutcliffe - Wikipedia

"Eight quarterbacks whom Cutcliffe coached in college have gone on to play in the NFL: Heath Shuler, Peyton Manning, Tee Martin, Eli Manning, Erik Ainge, Thaddeus Lewis, Sean Renfree, and Daniel Jones."
He won 8 games back in 2018, that's not too many seasons removed from still being a successful college coach. Heck his 5 win season in 2019 would probably be hailed as one Duke's best seasons prior to Cutcliffe's arrival. Duke is a hard place to coach, and recruit. He can flat out coach up QB's, idk if he'd work here, but I'd bet he could be a really good OC still. He's done. It's a young mans game today.
Too good even to be hoped for. But man I'd flash some cash, if possible.Cutliffe was probably forced out and 'retired' to save face for everyone. I expect him to be working for Syracuse by Monday.
No kidding. He would be priority number one. Dino would be foolish if he didn’t atleast gauge his interest. Most all his family reside down south and he’s from the south but you never know.Too good even to be hoped for. But man I'd flash some cash, if possible.
I would think Cutcliffe would have a number of better options that to work for a troubled HC in a awful climate for a team with a poorly rated OL, unproven inexperienced WRs and a bunch of suspect prospects at QB.Cutliffe was probably forced out and 'retired' to save face for everyone. i'm sure we do but at some point we can't compete with 90% of the other schools will see this skillset in him. Hope to be wrong I like CutcliffeI believe that cutcliffe is high on the list especially with JWs comment that we all heard
“We want someone who can develop a qb”
Sobering, but true.I would think Cutcliffe would have a number of better options that to work for a troubled HC in a awful climate for a team with a poorly rated OL, unproven inexperienced WRs and a bunch of suspect prospects at QB.
The only thing in our favor would be if he really really really liked a difficult challenge.
