Duke-Kansas starting too late

If you went to bed you missed a LOT of talent.

Kansas is very young, and because of that I thought Duke would run away with the game. They did not.

No doubt in my mind Kansas is the most talented team in the country. They are going to be ridiculous come March. Guys like Embiid and Traylor (even Wiggins and Seldon who played great) are going to be completely different players by the end of the year.

Yup. There were some posters questioning the Kansas talent and lack of experience which these days is irrelevant since plenty of young teams do just fine. Posters mocking Duke's team as well preseason. Kansas was awesome towards the end of the season last year. They collapsed at the end of that game with a hot Michigan team.

I was flipping channels through a lot of the game — as i hate myself for ever having Duke on my screen — so i missed all of Embiid's contributions. But, i was tremendously impressed by Selden. He's draftable right now.

Wiggins, though — having seen a few of his all star games, and now this vs Duke game — i'm still not seeing 'the next Lebron.' Or anything near the magnitude of 'instant/guaranteed' star. He's a good player, but reminds me of Felipe Lopez. Tremendous hype. Similar game. Similar weaknesses. Wiggins will be something. But, i definitely like Parker and Randle above him. Maybe even Selden, as well.

Wiggins scored 22 points in 25 minutes while shooting 60% from the floor in his second college game, against Duke.

If that's not good enough in any way shape or form, than your expectations are off.

A lot of people misquote this, nobody ever said that Wiggins is going to be the next LeBron. What was said is that he's the best recruit since LeBron . . . there's a huge difference.

Parker might be better than Wiggins at this moment (but not by much), but Wiggins has physical gifts that are unmatched and is still growing into his body while Parker is more of a finished product.

Saying that Wiggins is the best of the bunch is no insult to Parker or Randle. Those are three of the best to come around in a long time.

A lot of people misquote this, nobody ever said that Wiggins is going to be the next LeBron. What was said is that he's the best recruit since LeBron . . . there's a huge difference.

A lot of things have been said and written. It's rather absurd that you've declared awareness of all the discussions. It wasn't meant to be a direct quote, but it actually is what has commonly been said. Who's "misquoting" whom? A simple google search for "andrew wiggins the next lebron" shows plenty of reference.

Re: wiggins' 22 in 25 - yes, that's impressive. But as I said, i missed a lot of that game and wasn't relying on 25 minutes to form my admittedly premature assessment.
