Hope the change in venues for both the guys and gals (girls are now going to play at CBA) doesn't effect TV coverage. Heard anything along those lines?

I know with all the events that go on at CNS that they have the capability for broadcasts and they still plan on showing it on ESPNU. Not sure about the facilities at CBA.

No. 2 Duke (8-1, 0-0 ACC) at No. 12 Syracuse (4-2, 0-1 ACC), 2 p.m. Sunday (ESPNU)
Get your tickets early for this one. Originally scheduled for the Carrier Dome, this one will take place at Cicero-North Syracuse High School as the Orange Women’s basketball team hosts the NCAA Tournament. The stadium holds a capacity of around 6,000 so the setting should be intimate and festive. Syracuse has won the last two meetings by one goal. Each time that goal has been provided by Orange midfielder Jamie Trimboli. Will he have the magic shot again?

Duke is clicking big time right now on a seven-game win streak heading into a big ACC showdown with the Orange. Offensively the attack is putting up gaudy numbers, led by the trio of Brad Smith (14, 14), Joe Robertson (24, 10), and Joey Manown (17, 8). This group gets better and better every game, displaying versatility and a knack for making the big play at the right time. In the midfield Nakeie Montgomery (9, 3) leads a balanced group and has added some vision to his scoring game as evidenced by his two assists in the latest Blue Devil triumph, a 12-10 decision over Towson. Jake Seau (11, 7) continues to put up impressive efforts in his last campaign in Durham while Reilly Walsh (5, 8) has been smooth and reliable. Keeping up with them in the points department are Garrett Leadmon (7, 5) and Kevin Quigley (8, 3).

The Blue Devils have been playing stellar defense and just surrendered double-digit goals for the first in their 12-10 win over Towson since their Feb. 6 loss to High Point. The combination of Cade Van Raaphorst (25GB, 13CT) and JT Giles-Harris (22GB, 15CT) has been as good as advertised and played huge roles in the win against the Tigers. Which one will be assigned to cover Syracuse slinger Bradley Voigt? Goalie Turner Uppgren (47%) wasn’t at his best against Towson but is athletic and getting more comfortable with every start. What team has fared better than Duke over the last decade when they have a struggling goaltender?

In their last outing the Orange outpaced a spirited Rutgers squad 18-14. All six of the Orange games have been in the Carrier Dome. This coming Saturday would have made it seven but, while still at home, the site is Cicero North-Syracuse High School. Will this site pulsate with energy the way the Dome does? Not likely, but there should be a great crowd on hand that will probably have more orange than blue in the stands.

Against the Scarlet Knights the Orange took a 13-10 deficit, scored eight of the last nine goals of the game, and walked away with another impressive win. This offense has found its groove and is hard to derail when they get rolling. Leading the way in this one was midfielder Jamie Trimboli (10, 4) with a four-goal effort. He is one of seven Syracuse players with 10 or more points. Fellow middie Brendan Curry (10, 8) continues to terrorize opposing defenses and slowly but surely is rounding himself into a legit First Team All-American candidate. It seems as though the Orange midfield has been the driving force behind the Syracuse offense, and rightly so. But this past weekend attackman Nate Solomon (11,3) busted out with a four goal performance. Can the Syracuse faithful count on this from week to week? It remains to be seen but to have another scoring threat down low makes this team extremely more dangerous.

On the defensive side Nick Mellen (14GB, 7CT) is getting back into top form following missing 2017 and coming back from said missed season very carefully in 2018. Mellen seems comfortable, healthy, and at the top of his game. Fellow defender Tyson Bomberry is the enforcer and tone-setter. LSM Brett Kennedy is a demon between the lines and plays like his existence depends on it. It’s hard to find anyone with a more active motor. Will Syracuse have the opportunities to be physical with then run and gun to the cage with Duke? Who can establish the pace and tempo, and what goalie will make that one save? The team that answer
s these the best will win this game.
