we are going to have to start making tbrees against good defensive teams like this. watching this duke has NO LANES open. no weak 1v1 defenders really. have to create ball movement and be a threat to shoot.

Maliq still not 100 pct with limited impact, Justin Taylor 7 mins for JMU in their loss to Akron, Bell with 5 pts and not much else in 22 mins in a blowout win their first game. Cuffe 0 pts in 11 min, Petar 13 and 10 with 6 TOs in a blowout loss vs SDST, Moore 0 pts in 5 min, Carey hurt again.

Seems it’s mainly just Copeland and Westry who has managed to do well on the court not just in NIL since being here. Maybe Petar too but LBSU looks pretty awful.

You can say this about a bunch of our former players but he should have stayed at SU or gone somewhere he'd be playing a lot more than 13 minutes in a game.

It’s a shame - it may have been on a NIT level team but he averaged 9 and 7 for us with a bigger role set for him if he returned where he could have been 12/8 plus maybe 2-3 apg along with being near the top of the league in steals again.

Add to that continuing to get stronger and develop offensively, including being a threat from the outside when open. He got banged up having to do the dirty work in limited minutes. Made a good bit of money and had the tournament run of course but if he does pursue a career overseas he has to rebuild his game and develop offensively as though he was a Jr again.

I don’t think Carey is even playing college basketball anywhere. He’s no longer on Siena’s roster. Sad.
