Dungey didn't have a particularly good game today. Didn't seem to get his feet right on several throws when he had time to do so. However, there's no denying his ability to move in the pocket, create time, and deliver on the run or pull it down and run. Best we've had in a long time at doing that. The future is definitely bright. Today was just a down day for a freshman.

The last problem was Dungey.

Waited too long to open up the field for him.

Agree with the pocket presence. Hopefully he stays more rodgers-like (who still looks down field) as opposed to Alex Smith-like (happy feet then runs). Hopefully learns to slide a bit more too. Love the effort but know your value to your team.

Couldn't fairly have asked for more, this year, from the kid. He made mistakes today, but he brings electricity to the position we really haven't had since McNabb (with all due respect to nassib...but he was a different type of QB).

Yeah. Dungey played well. Defense was slow. If they continue to play like that we don't win more then 1 more game.

What sucks is I can't see them playing better because USF is a mediocre team. How does the defense perform this badly? I blame Shafer and this is even more evidence that makes me believe he isn't a head coach.

He is athletic. Not sure about pocket presence. On one of the last sacks Chavous is praising the DE when Dungey spun right into him; there was a huge pocket for him to step up into.

Dungey made some freshman mistakes, especially in the 4th when he was under more pressure, but he made so many more good plays. I'm glad he rebounded so well from the concussion. Two biggest issues today were a flat first half and terrible defense in the second. Neither Dungey's fault.

We need to remember the kid is a true freshman.
He is unbelievable considering that fact. I thought that he was incredibly patient in the second half. He had nowhere to go with the ball. Did great checking down to the xback in the middle of the field. We dont have athletes on the edges to allow him to drop back and pass.
The offensive gameplan was horrific. Absolutely terrible. Trying to outsprint usf on the edge was laughable.
