Dungey

I think Shrader has been given a free pass. He’s been really poor executing the offense. He has to get rid of the ball. The Oline is awful, but half the sacks are on Shrader.
Allen had only 42 yards rushing and GS was sacked 9 times. You think he's on a pic-nic.

Dungey backtracked from the vitriol he had last Thursday, saying he'd talked to some of the players and told them that "I'm not coming at you...I've been in their shoes". He was just upset about the punting in the other team's territory or kicking field goals down by 3 TDs. "Something needs to change...but I've got a lot of love for Babers. I'll say something again next week, as long as they start winning. I knew from the first four games that they should not be playing like that."

He said that Alford has "size you can't teach". He said he reminds him of Steve Ismael, a guy who can catch those back shoulder throws. "We need to use all our assets. It comes down to Shrader too many times. We could us the QB throwback. Shrader has a receiving background and Villari has a throwing background. We need to get defenses winded. They used to let us draw up trick plays. We need to get postive thigns on our first drive. It was always exciting to get that first first down."

Then he got on the cliche express. "There's still a lot let to the season. We could go 8-4. We've got to get the big Kumbaya, to water the garden. When we're playing at the highest level, we have an advantage in turnovers. The defense burns with the hottest fire. [Which makes the strongest steal.] They'll be hitting like no tomorrow Friday. It will be a good Friday football game to watch. Let's try to go 1-0."

They will likely podcast it.
Alford has size you can't teach. He doesn't have skills. I wouldn't even say he reminds him of Ishmael. Ish was one of the best receivers in the country. The only thing that held him back was his lack of speed.

Same. I was drunk at a bar in Oakland talking crap to LSU fans on a trip with my now wife and meeting her friends for the first time. That drop still stings.
happens, cuse sports makes us emotional, as does labatt blue light

He's really off. As others have stated, he looks like he's playing through some type of injury again.

SU is trying to make a football player out of a non football player. Brown is the same. He’s a track guy trying to be made into a football players. SU can’t recruit high end players and have to resort to trying to find or make football players.

Or he's just not good. His safety valve in Oronde is gone. I'm going to stack the box against the run and see what you can do with the rest of your receivers.

I just think we are seeing in the aggregate issues. Meaning our oline is not providing time, when there is some time GS has shown to be a little Jekyll and Hyde (injuries? Maybe some mechanics issues with his throws?) but has also thrown absolute dimes and in clutch situations. By midpoint last year GS had a top 10 passer rating I believe, that doesn't just happen by accident. Obviously oline issues, injuries and spies on D hurt the run game. Also the WRs have not been good at all. Part throwing, part bad routes/no separation at times and drops. No OG. Is the offense gameplan also at issue? Maybe? To me it's combination of many things and not just one from what I have seen.

One coach put him in position to play in the NFL and the other didn't.
That’s fine, but he has always talked differently about Shafer, that’s all I’m saying.

Shafer got him killed for no reason in a blowout.
We as fans think that, clearly he doesn’t. I’m not saying he doesn’t like Dino, just that he has ALWAYS been a supporter of shafer, even 8 years later

I have seen guys wide open often. Gs looks down receivers. In end game situations he doesn’t have a choice and just let’s go of the ball. When in the last 4 games have u seen him throw more than 20 yds. His arm isn’t good normally but he could throw 40 yds out but he is hurting. He is not good at all right now and also not running Or he runs soft too not get hurt which is the worst thing u can do

I'm going to focus on the WR's tonight because I see that sometimes as well.

Another note, I'm curious on how bad the timing is when Shrader looks at one receiver and 1 or 2 others are open...in other words just a bad timing sort of thing? Along with staring down a WR which he does at times as well but in his defense he usually doesn't have time to look around.

To be honest he needs to throw quickly until line gets better. He has 2.5 sec to move that ball but even when we block well he never steps up in pocket. Always sideways into someone.

This thread got me watching Dungey highlight reels. Man was he ever a warrior. The teams around him just had a different feel. It was exciting (I mean not always, but you know what I’m saying). This years team just feels like the (emotional) air has been let out.
