We are projected 7th which is pretty much every year what we have done since 2014.

I count 8, not 7. Seems like we are middle of the pack every year in projections and they are fairly accurate

Sam Hauser, transfer from Marquette, will also be available next year. He's got All-ACC potential.

Yes, he is. Bennett can obviously coach (duh!) and now, for at least one year, he has a centerpiece to build his offense around. They'll be plenty formidable.

Back to the OP, anyone surprised they have UVA forecasted that high?

In the ACC no. Nationally yes.

VT Ville and Pitt will be better than these projections. I see us being worse. JG3 Buddy Marek and Sid don’t have an extra gear and it was ugly when QG tries to play like a star on the perimeter and shoot threes he only played well as a backup big.

I do think we play well early in the non conference and get peoples expectations up but it will be similar to how people felt about our D after Liberty this year. We’ll win 7/8 ACC games and have a respectable record.
