I like it as well. One "unintended" side effect that will be fun to watch play out will be the increased, crazy attention that the prima donna prospects get in January. Staff will have perhaps double the time to spend on the kids who wait until February to sign. Alternatively, they could use the time to work on future prospects. But what I really see happening is Notre Dame making double the number of 4 a.m. visits to the houses of the blue chips, or at least taking twice as many staff on the trips.

Only downside with this, and I hope the P5 thinks about this, is that a kid could sign early and have the coach leave for another school. There needs to be some kind of release clause included in these situations.
