It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he had instructed his captains not to shake the hands of the PSU players a few weeks ago.

He had some pretty serious injuries to deal with and still managed to get a win in Blacksburg and beat NC State worse than we did. So even with the injuries, his team got better at the end of the year.

I agree but Tech is a nightmare right now... I can't believe how bad they've gotten. Not sure winning there is that hard anymore.

Interesting. I believe the Terps had a relatively weak OOC schedule and finished 2-5 as xc wrote and I think they got crushed a couple of times as well. Edsall is a very good coach...solid and at the perfect spot for him.

I don't dislike Edsall like some on this board. I just pointed out that he finished out 2-5 including their bad loss to Shafer's SU team and their last game, a bowl loss to Marshall.
 
maryland is lucky 114th in offense, 90th in offense but 71st in scoring defense and 76th in scoring offense. one really lucky game against us can't fully explain that difference.

This x1000. It also supports the idea that we gave them 3 big plays and couldn't get out of our own way in the red zone.

They also narrowly beat Ped State (new coach) and Meeshigan (about to fire the coach) who are having sub-par seasons. At the start of the year, those were two expected losses for the Twerps.
