I totally agree but bringing in some kid who has not competed against anywhere near the talent he will face in the acc is the answer? All I'm saying is don't take a huge gamble. Your bringing in a qb who will likely red shirt next year save the scholarship and go hard next year. Other then o Korn or some other surprise big target I just don't think the quality is worth the scholarship not to mention the spot on the roster

Umm... John O'Korn won the FLA class 7A state championship this year at ST. T. Aquinas in a DOMINATING offensive performance.

So winning the State Championship in FLA means he hasn't faced anywhere near ACC talent?

Your probably right... he's probably more prepared for SEC talent.:crazy:

I can... but I glossed over your last sentence - sorry.

I made a case for O'Korn as a good offer and option and that QB's often don't pan out and you respond that it's not worth the roster spot (unless it's O'Korn)...

I would say we agree... on O'Korn...
 
o'korn got a miss st offer today. R 1vals has an article up on his decision about taking a visit to Syracuse. I think he won't be but i don't have a membership.

I've heard the same thing from a different source. Too bad. Looks like a talented kid who played at a high level for a great school.

Let him dwell in the hell hole that is U of H. Truly the ugliest campus (and part of Houston) that I have seen. Does he even realize U of H is a commuter school?

If anything is kid is more physically ready to compete immediately (currently 210lbs) then Allen was. I really liked his tape, and is said to have some other big time offers as well. This kid has been over looked from day 1 because of Allen and Elite 11. I really think he will be our guy eventually. Still with that said we need to bring in another qb just in case, but i don't want to see a reach. If O'Korn has moved on I would really like to see them pocket the scholarship and take a shot at a big one next year. I truly believe if a qb recruit looks at the amount of young talent the old regime has stock piled, along with the opportunity to compete for early pt they would be jumping at the opportunity. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Can someone verify this? I've seen it mentioned before, but nothing specific, so I'm skeptical that it's legit and instead just wishful thinking on our part.

I actually read on rivals that he had offers at other schools but they couldn't release the names . Maybe he was bull shitting but I know what I read

I know there are some Wilson fans here. I, for one, was not impressed at all with his tape or his throwing ability. I also know enough to add that it is stupid to form an absolute opinion based on a single tape. But...did other programs try to recruit him during the transition?

I wonder what Lester/McDonald think of Wilson?
 
According to Fizz tweets O'Korn met with Shafer last night and has narrowed his choice down to NC State and SU.
