Or did he go away with the rest of the staff?

My understanding is White, Cole Dial, and Drew Robinson are all still on staff. Hope it remains that way after the change.

As is Brotski and Hicks.

If they are smart, they will re-hire Bobby Acosta too. Great coach, great recruiter, northeast & NJ ties and kids love him. Some resemblance of continuity with the current commits too.
Any of the coaches on the offensive side of the ball could really enhance their resume by coaching under Dino Babers. His system is one many programs want to run. If your goal is to someday become a HC, you want to work under a system like Dino's.

Acosta would really position himself well to become an OC or HC someday if he was offered a spot on the staff and decided to stay.

Agree 100% would be a smart move, get some stability of him learning under one offensive system for a few years

Unfortunately at this point, I think our assistant coaches will all be at new schools next year. I know they've been interviewing. Whoever is hired could certainly grant them an interview, but it might be too late already. These guys have families to take care of, so I can't blame them for being proactive. All I've heard is that Coyle told them to pack their stuff and that was pretty much it. Very strange, but that's the ugly side of that business.

The recruiting and ops people have been retained. Not sure if a new coach has any say there, but I assume they're not going anywhere. White and Dial are worth their weight in gold and maintain the relationships with all of the current recruits.

I wish them all good luck and would've loved to see a few of our positional coaches join the new staff. Especially Acosta, Daoust and Gregory.

Three great choices!

I heard that Gregory would like to stay. With his ties to SU and NFL resume, I can see him being retained as a paid (he served as a GA under SS) asst. coach. DB/ST?

Noticed at both Eastern Illinois and BGSU Babers retained at least one member of the former staff. Not sure if it was happenstance or by design.

It would be a bad move to let/make Gregory walk out the door. Other Assistants as well, but, I believe those ships sailed more than a week ago.

The new coach will decide the fate of the support staff kept on.

Yeah I think there is a chance of Gregory staying, he is tied to SU but not so much to Shafer. The other guys are very tight with Shafer and have a longer standing relationship with him. Coyle clearly doesn't want anyone of that ilk around the program anymore. A shame but I think that is the reality of the situation

I guess this is a little personal to speculate, but since Gregory is (at least somewhat) independently wealthy and built a new house in the area in recent years, would he be looking to lead that nomadic coaching life or just stay put? Seems that he might have different motivations than the rest.

If he's great, hope he hangs tight and gets re-hired here.

Ever since the Marrone era I have feared the day we lost Daoust. He, in my opinion, was our best assistant and demanded and got the most out of our young D-Line players. Really gonna miss him! Stinks.

The only caveat is...last year we almost lost him anyways. The revolving door of coaches is cold.

Let's work it out. Assume each man is 180 pounds, 16 oz per pound and approximately $1065 an oz, means each man is worth about $3.1mm. Are they worth that?

This deserves more than just my 'like'
