Saturday I had a guest over who said his dad used to work for WSYR. He said he had five pictures of Ernie Davis from 1961 never seen before. He sent them to me today and I thought I would share them with you.
His dad was on the Jim Deline gang and did a little bit of everything including playing the violin with the band. His last name was Bataitis.
Ernie was not only a grat person and athlete but also a very handsome young man. So sad to think that within two years of these photos he would no longer inhabit this earth.
PS: This site reduced the size of these pictures to postage stamp size. As sent they were at least twice this large.
