Eskridge may go pro

Honestly, the man's extremely talented and a physical specimen. It wouldn't be "stupid". However, he becomes a 1st or 2nd round draft pick if he improves his senior year.

Edit: You know what? It'd be pretty dumb.

Highly doubt he's ready. He's a good player but still has a lot to learn and college games to play before he makes the jump. If he's that good enough.

Just as Shamarko said while giving analysis of the secondary prior to the season, he has all the physical tools to be dominant, but is inconsistent in the mental part of the game. He needs to come back and prove he can do it on every play every game.

Hometown paper writes story about rough times in tough neighborhood. Street agents mines the news for hardship stories and this is what happens. Not saying this is factual, but don't think for a second that this does not happen.

What do street agents have to offer these kids other than ripping them off at every opportunity.

He is not ready in pass coverage at all to compete against the real pros.

Give up an education would the biggest mistake most kids make, as an education is something nobody can ever take away from you. A job in the NFL is something that people are always gunning to take away from you.

He'd end up an Undrafted Free Agent. Wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

The second half the year the kid was a great, but I don't think that physically he is where he would need to be to play at the next level yet. Still spindly.

This kid will be a high draft pick....but he has to stay 1 more year. He should be 1st or 2nd team pre season All-ACC next season. He will get exposure, and should capitalize on it making him an early round selection NEXT YEAR.

Kid obviously has a tough situation having a young daughter, and family in a tough spot. I don't blame him if he goes, but I think Shafer will tell him what's best for him.

He stays one more year he could very well be drafted in the top 50.

I want him to come back so he gets his degree. Football is only a short part of life.

Wow-Didn't even think about him. Can't imagine he spoke to the NFL draft advisory board. Wonder if Shafer's aware of this possibility?

Too early for feedback, he might be talking about submitting his name. I'm sure the staff at SU will advise him properly.

Also, I won't blame him for looking into it because I believe he already has a child. He can always come back and finish his degree in the off-season/after playing.

I get what you are saying, but young men in the pros who take this route "almost" never go back as they are usually too broke. Most players who do go back are current players who stuck it in the league and are smart enough to see what types of players who do go broke

If he leaves early, I'm thinking Phillip Thomas Part Deux (just the fact that he's a S from Florida who could have used another year and would be at best a late round draft pick)

he sounds like hes getting impulsive on his twitter handle

SU would pay for him to finish his degree because it helps APR. Huge incentive under the new APR rules for schools to "recruit" these guys back to campus to finish.
