Is there any chance at all he's back in 2015? He hasn't had a very good season at all - injury related, I know - and I'd imagine he could really help his stock with a great senior year when he's healthy next year.

Just a thought. Would be nice to have him back to lead what will be a very youthful bunch next year.

If anything the injuries might push him to leave. He's got the size that NFL teams would take a chance on and I fully expect he'll be gone.

He's gone and that's ok. He's been here for a while and has a family to feed. I hope he gets drafted in the 4th a la shamarko.

Agree with this. IMO, he isn't around the ball enough to justify the top 5 S ranking he had coming into the season by Kiper. That surely has gone down by now. He needs to be a lot better in run support. With more strength especially I think he COULD be become a decent NFL roamer S like a poor man's Vaccaro or Malcolm Jenkins.

I don't know anything from anything, but I think there's a chance he comes back. I would think evaluations after the season would include some concerns with injuries and inconsistency. I don't know that he gets the same look as Shamarko because, despite his measureables, he hasn't been the same kind of playmaker, even when healthy. Then again, if he doesn't think he'll get a better look after one more year, he may decide he has nothing to lose.

Honestly I could see a team thinking he'd make a great gunner on punt coverage, and as a guy who could play WR in an emergency. Is he a starting NFL safety?, probably not, but the 53 man roster might improve his chances of being a mid-round pick and sticking.

idk how you could possibly justify drafting him in the first 5 rounds if your an NFL team. I know he has been dealing with injuries but he just isn't making plays. Iv been very disappointed in his play this year with all the expectations coming into the year.

You don't draft a guy who is a gunner on special teams in the first 5 rounds. And a WR? That's crazy.

I agree with you, but, he has the physical measurables that the NFL drools over. If he wows at the combine there is a chance for him to be picked somewhere in the middle rounds. He certainly hasn't been all conference; is that because he is being careful about injury on the field? If so, it's not helping; since he looks as fragile as a crystal vase out there...

I don't know man. He's pretty thin and weak in run support. He has a bit of intrigue because of his height and decent ball skills but not sure how fluid he is. It would take a few years of putting on weight before I would want to see Eskridge trying to take on Alfred Morris or DeMarco Murray in the open field.

does he make plays that the NFL expects a player to make? he drops INTs, he doesnt wrap his tackles, he doesnt dominate games, he isnt overlay fast or big or strong so not sure his combine numbers would look great either.

but he thinks he is good enough so likely he goes.

Yeah, I think he would have the will, but will he ever have the sturdiness to run stuff in the NFL?
Still, all it takes is one Idzik to fall for a Combine romance...

Couldn't agree more, NFL players usually jump off the tv at you. Eskridge just doesn't do that. This will come off a little harsh but most of the time when I notice him on the field its because of an injury timeout. Kids been beat up this year but he has been attended to at least 3 times a game. Glad he is gutting it out, just wonder if it wouldn't be best for him to rest and heal.

Eskridge has been a major disappointment this year. Thought he was really going to take it to the next level, but has actually regressed and shown scouts that he is injury-prone.

If you follow him on IG, you will see where his head is at and that leaving next year seems more than likely.

I wish the kid all the best, but staying an extra year might be in his best interests.

At this point he is no Shamarko - not even close.

He is a real health risk.

I can't believe that he will be drafted.

He should come back, get bigger and stronger and prepare for a more productive final year at the college level.

I agree. He literally gets knocked out of every game at least for a play or two. That's not a good indicator of a draft worthy prospect despite his obvious physical gifts. Either he is tackling wrong, or simply too careless, he is not a safe investment.

Agree, unless something crazy happens with his performance these last 4 games, I just don't see it. He could use one more year.

Hopefully this isn't the case, but kids who come into their junior year with plans to declare early have been known to abandon their coursework.

Maybe he's being responsible, but there's a chance that he'll have to declare.

he's been injured all season long every season he's played here and he's not even a physical safety. that trend will continue in the nfl against more physical players.

i could see him getting drafted on measurables but i can't see him sticking.
