ESPN Bottom 10 has 3 AAC schools

Can we make it a board convention to refer to that conference as AAK to avoid confusion when skimming thread titles? Is Otto in Grotto the arbiter for that too?
They should accept fate and call it the SB.

I always read AAC as ACC and get sucked into an article. Never fails.
It's all part of their master plan - try to get as much attention as they can by creating confusion/misdirection. I'll have to admit, they seem to have more ideas than the BE management we were used to.

ESPN Bottom 10
2. Temple
3. Memphis
7. UConn
Just on the outside at 11. South Florida
Yikes I mean Doctor Gross really saved our football program from dying by getting us into the ACC. Louisville doesn't have a chance for the NC title game with their schedule unless everybody has like 2 losses which isn't going to happen.
nor should they - their schedule this year makes what Boise St has played the last few years when they were excluded look like a murderers row - they should get a nice BCS level bowl game, but no shot at a national title

A Yukon win over Louisville would be appropriate. It guarantees that the 'Murkin won't be competing for the BCS championship, gives FHCPP a nice win and could cause more turmoil for Storrs.

UCF beat Penn State.

Louisville is in the top 5.

etc.

Don't beat down others - waste of time and bad karma.

Who I am beating down? I am pointing out Dr. Gross saved our football program by getting us into the ACC. Also, I pointed a fact that Louisville's weak schedule will probably preclude them from being a NC contender even though they have a really good team. They are #7 BTW not top 5 and UCF is decent, but beating Penn State only makes them better than Syracuse and not a top 25 team. The American conference has 4 winless teams right now and thankfully Syracuse isn't in this conference or our future would be bleak in college football.

He didn't save the program.

And he probably had very little to do with the move - he happened to be the AD at the time.

Swofford has wanted SU since 2003.

The move to the ACC will provide greater exposure and greater revenue - and it will clearly elevate the program to a new level.

I can't go as far as you however and declare that the ACC saved the program.

And I would not necessarily bet against schools such as Houston, SMU, Cincy, UCF, USF, Memphis or even UConn.

Time will tell.

In the meantime, I do not find the trashing of the AAC a good idea. No need to do that.

First, how is speaking the truth trashing the AAC? I never insulted 1 program that was referenced in the bottom 10. I stated a fact that a clear majority of college football reporters have been saying that Lousiville's schedule will kill any chance for them to play for a NC. That is an opinion of mine that is not trashing anybody but calling it the way I see it. Louisville's non-conference and conference schedule will feature at best 1 ranked team and that is if Central Florida continue going undefeated. Also, there are 16 winless teams in Division FBS and 4 of them play in the AAC. That is a fact and is not trashing anybody.

How did Dr. Gross have little to do with the 2011 ACC move? Where is your evidence for this statement?

The move saved our program from becoming a half-not. Our football recruiting has been mediocre/awful recently if you think remaining in our current conference making significantly less money would have allowed Syracuse to build an IPF your crazy. While the school is raising as much money as possible for the project from donors the ACC money is a big reason Dr. Gross was able to get the project okayed as fast as he did because of the annual revenue coming into the AD from the ACC.

SU was in the waiting list last week.

I saw that and though how ed. At the time we lost by 6 to penn state and got a little worked by a very good top 25 northwestern team. Not really bottom 10 worthy.

Read my post.

I submitted my evidence - Swofford offerred SU in 2003 - that's a fact.

Dr. Gross was not the reason the ACC commissioner continued his quest for SU Athletics.

And, I said, the move to the ACC will greatly enhance our Football Program.

But it did not save the program as you claimed.

And, the AAC is a brand new conference that will need time to stablize and grow. With teams like Houston, SMU, UCF, USF, Cincy and others it will likely grow and improve.

I would not draw any longterm conclusions on the basis of three weeks of play in 2013.

And, again, I take no joy in the poor performance of four teams in the AAC at this point.

My rolex point is that the AAC calls itself that. For me, that is incredibly annoying and they did it for a reason.
