ESPN.Com: "Cuse wins after missed call in final seconds"

Technically what they said is true ... we certainly didn't win before the blown call. And it was a blown call. And it was in the final seconds. Much "better" story than "Syracuse wins by 2" ... no as much hype there. They are the media ... they gotta go for the Bigggggggg story.

I wonder how far we are going to drop in the polls after this "controversial" win.
It seems like it's being treated like a loss. The cincy game was a LOOOOOONG time ago in the world of pollsters.

The headline is not inaccurate. "Syracuse wins because of blown call" would've been inaccurate.

Here's what kills me worst case scenario our game goes to overtime. Yet, that heading "'Iffy call leads Cuse" implies we only won because of that call, while I believe there is no greater than 50-50% we lose because of that call. Last year, at the BET Rutgers WAS LEGITIMATELY screwed by the Refs not finishing their jobs yet their headline was more neutral than ours. When Rutgers LOST THE GAME because of the Refs, but in our game all the refs did was cost WVU OT and its not even true if we score with 6 seconds left in regulation.

Agree completely. I think we actually would have had more like 9 + seconds left to win the game in regulation had the goaltending been called, as clock stops right there. More than ample time to get the ball upcourt, call time out, etc. and set up a nice game winning play. It's being hyped like that would of given WVA the W...Oh Lord
