So strong is this bond between the Commonwealths that Louisville has played UVa and VPI a combined 14 times. If the ACC/3-3-5 is adopted, SU will have UL in its grouping.

I will say this, FSU should be forced to take them, after all, the Seminoles were the school that insisted that UL receive the 14th bid to enter the ACC (upon Maryland departing). Remember the old southern axiom: Once Metro Conference brethren, ALWAYS Metro Conference brethren?

That's why South Carolina should betray the SEC, or else demand that Memphis get an invite.

There is no way Syracuse and Louisville should be paired together. Louisville is really hard and expensive for SU fans to get to and vice versa. We have no rivalry with them, no geographic connection and playing in the other region does nothing for either school. It is the worst possible match for both schools. This is an awful idea.

We should play Pitt, BC and Miami.
UL should play Pitt, UVa and VT.
Miami should play FSU, BC and SU.

Miami gets to play in the NE every year. Good for all their NJ players and students. Plus, we had the makings of a great rivalry with them.

SU gets to play in Florida every other year. Miami is easy to get to and we have a ton of alums within driving distance.

UL gets to play 3 schools close to them. Virginia and Kentucky have a special relationship going back to colonial times. Pitt and UL have the Ohio River in common. Reasonable drives for all involved.

Everyone wins. Let’s do it.

If this can’t be done, we should play UVa instead of UL. But not UL under any circumstances.
