Since we are relegated to RSN TV status this year and YTTV has dropped RSN what is a good second choice? I’ve got a great Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu deal but I can’t tell if Zo get the cuse games through ESPN+ if I do this. Help?!?

ESPN+ is great for some stuff. But its not gonna help most of the time with the RSN issue without some intervention . Last time YES opting to not show the game offered some help.. Not sure that happens again

Does your flavor of Hulu include all of their channels? Hulu typically includes RSN channels.

espn + doesnt usually show live acc football

I doubt it - that's why I wondered about ESPN+ but it’s been a while since I had the + and have only watched on YTTV this year. Looks like it’s Sling or Hulu TV for me Saturday

AT&T TV gives you everything you need and no not that direct tv junk, their streaming service :)

Get a son or a daughter who play sports and this problem goes away. You wont be able to watch SU live for a solid 10 yrs.

Side note: the club sports fees will also prevent you from having any spare money to worry about switching streaming tv options.

Agreed. Not sure what that other poster is referring to. Duke vs. Syracuse will be on ESPN3:

ESPN3 and ESPN+ are two different things.

I get streaming access to ESPN3 as part of my Spectrum cable package. I don't have to pay extra for it.

ESPN+ is a subscription streaming service that shows a lot of Soccer and MMA and some G5 College Football. Don't want it. Don't need it.

If you're already paying for Spectrum, you shouldn't have to pay an additional $5.99/month for ESPN+ to stream ACC football/basketball games.

Just check the Fox Go Sports App and ESPN app which are both free to download if you have Spectrum. The SU-Duke game will be broadcast on both apps.

Thank you. You explained that well. I knew the difference but I didn't want to cause more confusion if I didn't explain it quite right.

I have Fios. My 4.99 to get ESPN + gives me access to all ESPN channels my Fios package doesn’t include plus ACCN for all games not selected to show on Fios. So...again...you can get pretty much any ACC game by getting ESPN+.

this is how it works for RSN games. if you can get the acc-network you can stream the RSN games on ESPN apps. If you dont you have to watch on fox-sports-go. if the RSN has rights in your area you have to watch there unless they get an exception which is why the game last week showed up for everyone. the RSN still has rights locally though.

from a note the acc put out last fall.
"Thus, if you want to watch these through ESPN’s app, you’ll need to be able to authenticate that you have access to ACC Network through your cable/satellite/streaming provider. "

"However, the games on the Fox Sports regional networks can be watched on those linear networks or on Fox Sports Go (with authentication of a subscription to those networks) regardless of if you have ACC Network. "

the game locally might show up on ESPN again but YES has the rights so it may not. last week YES was not showing the game and the AD pushed for it to go to ESPN streaming.. Has he done that this week?

Agreed. I have Comcast Xfinity, but no ACC Network, so bought ESPN+ to get ACC Network. I paid the 4.99 for ESPN + to specifically get the ACC games.

Now, I am located in Tennessee, so not sure if blackout is the issue people may be referring to (as I can see that being the case if it is carried on YES and people are trying to watch ESPN + in New York).

If looking for a stream, would take a look at this resource (haven't had to use it this year, but when I needed it last year due to blackout, I used reddit college football streams and they have moved to the below):

AT&T TV gives you everything you need and no not that direct tv junk, their streaming service :)
From AT&T's website:
"CHOICE : 90+ Channels
$64.99/mo. for 12 months plus taxes, & Regional Sports Fee
w/ 24-mo. agmt. Prices higher in 2nd year.* Regional Sports Fee up to $8.49/mo. is extra & applies.

After 12 months or loss of eligibility, the then-prevailing rate applies (currently $93 per month for ENTERTAINMENT package; $110 per month for CHOICE package"

So, how much is it actually costing you per month?

YTTV is $65/mo for 3 concurrent streams + unlimited "DVR".
AT&T includes 3 concurrent streams.
Hulu+Live is $55/mo for 2 concurrent streams and limited "DVR". Increased streams & DVR gets you to $70/mo.

AT&T is the only one of the 3 that has a contract.

dont forget that ESPN+ is really for 1 stream for those that share it.. ESPN is enforcing it but not fully enforcing it, they are only monitoring it for now.

I pay for 80 channels $52/mo and it comes with 500 hours of DVR and then supplement it with ESPN+ for $4.99/mo and viola! And since I have unlimited data with AT&T I get HBOMax for free for the life of my plan.

If the $52 includes fees & taxes then that isn't a bad deal, aside from the contract. If they ever get in a dispute with the RSNs then you could be facing some issues for a while due to the contract.

I expect YTTV to have RSNs back before baseball season starts in the Spring. If not, or I'm missing too many SU hoops games, then we may be making a switch.

I still think you’re talking about ESPN3 here, and not ESPN+. Your Fios internet gives you free access to all ESPN3 content - which would include ACCNX (which shows those ACCN games not selected to show on your Fios cable subscription). I’m not aware of any access to all ESPN channels by just paying $4.99 per month for ESPN+. This standalone option is not offered by ESPN.

As mentioned above, ESPN+ gives you access to UFC fights, some Big12 football games during a normal season, a lot of G5 games, and documentaries. It does not include access to the main ESPN channels, including ACCN.

ESPN+ has great value i you like college hockey and some other stuff like baseball tennis lax.

if you really want to know what its giving you just disconnect it for a few minutes from your ESPN login and see what changes. log your subscription out is pretty easy

You and OrangeXtreme are correct and I was incorrect. Here is the answer from the Google search. Hope I am still able to get the game Saturday!

Does ESPN+ include espn3?

Is ESPN+ and ESPN3 the same thing? No, ESPN+ is a subscription based package that you can cancel at any time, while ESPN3 comes with most cable or TV packages. YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ESPN3 with an ESPN+ subscription.

The cool part about ESPN+ is the access to game archives.

So I can get the game if I sign up for a free Week of Hulu on Friday or early Sat?

I’m glad this occasioned some discussion, I was feeling pretty dumb for not being able to figure it out & at least I’m not alone
