ESPN: State of the Program - Cuse

I hate at the end when she says "The first step has to be moving ahead of Boston College and Wake Forest in the Atlantic before fans can entertain visions of an ACC title."

Last year we finished ahead of both of them. Year before we finished ahead of Wake Forest. BC was better that year. In 2013 we finished 3rd in the Atlantic. It's not like we've been wallowing behind these teams. We've beaten Wake Forest three times head to head, and BC twice. So I would say we are ahead of them.

Adelson always seems to forward this false narrative that BC and Wake Forest are moving ahead of us, when the product on the field simply hasn't shown that.

I'm constantly perplexed by why the media is always either projecting Syracuse to finish last or outright saying they need to pass Wake Forest and Boston College as if they are somehow behind them in some imaginary world.

Welp, guess you guys beat me as well while I was digging.

I tweeted her a question about that ;).

Makes no sense. Unless Douche Clawson is hypnotizing her during media days. She knows Dudazzio from her Florida days, I think.

You guys are splitting hairs over a really mediocre program. Who cares where we are on the bottom but we are in the discussion for the doormats. Need to change that perception with a 9 win season or something. Think ahead not the mediocrity of the past.

We've only been able to beat Wake 3 years in a row. That needs to go up to about 9 in a row if we want to truly move ahead of them.

BC we've only beat 2 out of 3 years. So that would need to be 14 out of 15. Then we can rear view mirror them.

Agree'd. I thought the article was fair, honestly. Typically, Adelson has me rolling my eyes but I thought this write up was pretty solid... I would tweak the Wake Forest/BC comment because we own Wake and we are right there with BC but like you said, splitting hairs. If we get to 9 wins and have start having success, pull up a dump truck of money to Dino's yard and call it a day. 9 wins would be amazing but stability and consistency over a period of time would be even more so. I can't keep dealing with the revolving door of head coaches, part of the reason I'm happy Frost didn't land here.

She is amazing...smh.

I think she's wrong about associating that statement with Wake Forrest. I don't see is falling behind Wake... Ever... Unless something substantial happens. As for Boston College, I can see why she would say that. To me, BC and SU are very similar programs, in terms of success.

She also noted, "Syracuse has never averaged over 500 yards of offense, nor has it averaged 40 yards per game." Well...no wonder we can't win any games! :bat:

3 wins in 3 years, I'm not sure how further ahead of Wake Forest you could be.
As in most guys on the team have never lost to Wake.

We're sick of professional writers getting facts wrong. It shouldn't be that hard for this moron to check the head to head results before writing. Her articles are worse than dumb Syracuse.com comment section trolls. Inexcusable for her to be this stupid.
