For those who watched.... was anybody else as flabbergasted as me at the "In Memorian" segment that they performed? They had a Rap singer do his thing while they flashed pictures of the deceased behind him so that, not only could you barely see their picture, but they didn't even put their names under their pictures.

Are the ESPYs still a thing? Almost as useless as the Oscars, Tony’s, Grammy’s, etc., which are just for marketing.

It's filler on the deadest day of the sports calendar. Nothing wrong with having a showcase especially when the host is great (like Norm Macdonald...) but otherwise nothing to get too excited about.

I read a couple articles that echoed your comments and also mentioned the photos were shown in groups? Sounds like it really was done poorly.

Yes.. same sentiments… it was hard to see most of the photos and no names to go with the photos. I wasn’t a fan of the performance to go along with the in memoriam.
