Etan on Gtown game and Jb with roster

Really, really good stuff in there. Etan does a good a interview and gets tremendous insights. All comments are good and the Jesse covering the three comment spot on. It's a lot to ask of Jesse and could potentially work if you had two rebounding horses to cover his absence. This time doesn't have that so not going to work.

I sense some frustration in their comments and how they carefully word them

I remember 2 years ago after bad losses in NYC to Ok St and Penn St, Derrick Coleman tweeting, this is not Syracuse Basketball

The grumbling usually starts with fans, then former players but its the ones with the check books, the big money donors that will force change usually

Standing on the Hoya's court and criticizing the program after a loss in which THEIR refs only called 4 fouls on Georgetown the entire second half is pretty low. IMO.
How dare they criticize the great and power Oz...

The refs missed enough moving screens against Gtown to change the game. Maybe the players missed them to.

Supporting the program they played for 20-30 years later by attending the game and caring.

This is there’s more than it is yours. Show some respect.

Syracuse had 3 free throw attempts in the 2nd half of that game, not counting the one Girard missed with 2 seconds left, probably on purpose. SMH.

Imagine the rant from JB at the next presser or radio show when given this criticism and having an actual successful former player of his as the one delivering it.. not someone JB can personally attack versus attack the opinion. If the radio show is tonight we might be in for a classic.

Imagine the next time they go to the Melo center and Boeheim gives them the look, "Your dead to me Fredo".

I gurantee Matt Park will not be bringing it up

It will take a caller and then they will cut him off and avoid addressing

Too bad the old stubborn coach doesn’t listen to anyone else. But it’s obvious to everyone. Still going to get worse before it gets better sadly.
They alluded to that as well. And that’s the point: JB isn’t going to change and he’s not going to be fired or pushed out the door. People shouldn’t expect otherwise.

We haven't had a real PG since 2014. We haven't had a typical "Syracuse Forward" since 2015. Who was the last guy who could consistently get to the basket? Those things were all Syracuse Big East basketball. This Syracuse ACC basketball has been a totally different philosophy. If it were producing Ws then the change would at least make sense.

IMO, folks have the right to complain about what they are dissatisfied with without attacking others for voicing their opinions. Almost all oh this site don’t have insights stemming from being inside the program. Some having those insights will withhold them as university employees and other stakeholders whose knowledge and expression of same might compromise the university and it’s mission. Any educational institution goes through changes following introspection and decision making by the Chancellor and Board of Trustees.
This is a slow process and exasperating for most fans. It’s easy to see what needs to be addressed and yet we don’t have the institutional responsibility to be concerned with.

Typically, the most dynamic change in sport happens with smaller, less traditional programs who have the above to a much lessor degree. I admire Etan‘s intelligence and speaking up for what concerns him!

I feel change needs to happen and also know that the power brokers at the university aren’t going to call me, asking for my point of view. Now feel free to attack this post; I won’t be anything but amused.
