Yr 1 - instill new work ethic
Yr 2 - Show progress, take advantage of veteran players experience.
Yr 3 - Work ethic is demonstrated. Players don't quit and wins that used to be losses are squeaked out.
Yr 4 - Win SU way!

Yr 4 - Win ugly

Yr 5 - Win pretty

Guess this is what you would call growing pains

That's the biggest change. This team can gut out a win it should win. Last week (USC) demonstrated we still have a long way to go talent wise. However, this week we beat a team that we very easily could have lost to and likely would have lost to a few years ago. Toledo is a good program who has played a very very difficult OOC schedule.

Kudos to Marrone for getting it done with a severely depleted secondary!

We did lose to a team like this 2 years ago in OT. Minnesota w/ Eric Decker. Difference us us making the pick in OT was throwing it. Our offense is starting to put it together (albeit slower than we wouldve liked) and their is hope for our defense to get better as young guys get PT and injured guys get healthy. We could still be a pretty tough team before the end of this season.

Baby steps are still steps and are loooooong strides from where we were 4 years ago.
