I'd be thrilled to see him extended. Show him that we believe in him (I think he's proven we should), and that we're prepared to prove it even when the team is in a rough patch. Show some loyalty and then hope that in a few years when a big powerhouse comes knocking, he decides to be loyal back... Cause it's going to happen.

Not that it would make a big difference on terms, but as a show of faith in trying times?

Wake had a ton of injuries coming into our game, but Clawson also has had 4 full recruiting classes to build depth. Dino says we will be better than Wake in his fourth year , a team that could finish 9-4 this year, and I 100% believe him

When healthy, I do see this team improving steadily. I agree that what this program needs is depth. I’m definitely concerned that in each of the last 2 years, we have nosedived down the stretch. Does this system wear down players & we’ll be looking at this problem every year? Or will depth solve these issues? I’m not crazy with the defense we play. Is it because injuries have left us bare on that side of the ball? Or does Babers lack the leadership to keep this team focused for an entire season? Those are the questions that need to be answered. I would extend him.

Team is improving despite the record and recent losses. Look at how they performed overall when reasonably healthy. Clawson was 3-9 in his first 2 years at Wake. Won 7 in his third year, and has a chance to win 9 this year in his 4th. Good lord...the idea of patience, and not judging the coach by his first 2 years seems to be lost on people that are hopeful this would be turned around this year, or even last year. This is not the NFL. If Dino is the man, and I feel he is, then give him the same amount of time that nearly every other dumpster fire of a program needed to turn around the team into a 7+ win team consistently. That is nearly without exception 3-4 years. There would be so many great coaches fired if you had just judged them based on their first 2 years.

While I totally agree we should extend him, it's not because of the injury excuse. We are actually pretty healthy in comparison to other schools around the country. For this time of year you rea;;y can't expect to be any healthier. If we use the injury excuse for the reason of our downfall, well then this would be the 3rd consecutive season for that. At some point people just have to realize that injuries are a part of football. They should be expected. Instead you should focus on building depth so you can absorb the injuries better. I totally believe that is what is taking place. We just aren't there yet in the depth area.
