Admittedly I have not watched a replay yet, but am I right that his name was only called a few times last night. Doesn’t seem like he made much of an impact.

Wondering whether our loss of two defensive ends had something to do with how he was used. Will have to rewatch. I certainly hope we don’t need to use him differently going forward. Also didn’t see KJE but maybe I just didn’t notice it.

He only had 1 tackle and nothing else.

I’m ambivalent. His best plays have been when he is off the ball so I’m not pushing to see him back at end just yet.

Just to provide some context here, Fadil has been moved to a LB hybrid role. His role the past few games is to spy the quarterback so the QB doesn’t scramble. While Diggs name hasn’t been getting called, he’s been doing a great job with that causing the QB to throw it or do a check down. It doesn’t show in the stat sheet, but he’s been huge for that.

If you’re old enough, you’ll remember that we had Keith Bullock as MLB… until we got Clifton Smith and then Keith was able to go out to WLB, his ideal position.

He had to be MLB because he was so talented that he was the best option even if it wasn’t his ideal position. And he was a beast there. Then we got in talent to allow him go to WLB.

If we had more talent, Diggs could be a pass rusher/DE all the time.

Take note here folks. This is an educated football post.

Only time I remember him was the offset PFs after the Barron pick. He's fine. Think he's over hyped and I think someone compared him to Freeney which is well...not close.

Disagree
Not Freeney. He gets doubled when he rushes the passer. He stepped up in GT and UNLV at the end and helped win those games. Best D line we have.

Or the return of Marlowe?

We rush three guys everyone is doubled and being the best DL we have is not the highest of bars. He's one of the better players on a D that is clearly a work in progress.

Partially true. He played that role in the box for 15 plays last night. He was at DE 34 plays.
