There is an argument to be made that Syracuse University Athletics pays salaries and has the right to hold events that they deem necessary to enhance the fan experience. However, there's a fine line when you have a HC that is a hot commodity and you want to retain for a long time. My question would be what happens if we go 5-7 this year, 6-6 next year and we are right back where we started. I am hoping and praying that it doesn't happen, but a few key injuries to a few key players and it's absolutely possible. Then, these types of events will have been thrown by the wayside and we're left with a bare bones, closed off program that is what it is.
