Thankfully this was game 4 of the cupcake run. Not game 1. So we have had more to consider.

Overall, within the current standards of our program, game 1-4 have left me generally satisfied.

I agree - fans tend to overreact, and we have solid players at 4 positions. Additionally, Kiyan and Sadiq have both generally impressed. I'm really excited about how well those two have played thus far. They are far better than I expected. If our defense holds up, we will be good.

This close win will hopefully help our team and staff. Our guys busted their butts the first three games and this game didn't seem to have the same sense of urgency, although the way the whistles were blowing, it might not have been a bad thing to not be overly aggressive.

Agree the 2 needs to get there.

George and Kingz were great and confident all game. Kyle too but didn’t get great looks. I thought we leaned on Donnie way too much and paid for it late. Down the stretch we were taking jumpers and sloppy with the ball and on D when we just needed to pound it inside with Kyle and guard the perimeter.

Interesting to note that most of our guys got 5-10 more mins than they’ve played in any games this year. I thought we looked gas at the 4 min mark and it showed that late especially when the refs took some of the pep out of our step and the dome the rest of the way. Thought it showed with Kiyan, Donnie and JJ obviously the most later in the game. Not even to mention that Sadiq usually takes a big burden of the defense late in games and was done.

Unless it’s the Syracuse QB because apparently there isn’t a next man up. There’s a man, several of them, but they sure as hell aren’t up.
