If I recall correctly years ago (20?, 30?, dunno) the FedEx CEO offered the Big East $100 million if the conference added Memphis. Didn't happen of course but it was a nice offer.

It's deals like this that drive schools and cities like us out of the game. I can't imagine a company in NY filling a pay to play fund with 25 million. Culture is so different.
