Feel very good about Howard next year

you like 50% from the foul line, 20% otherwise? He's a practice body
 
I am still a bit confused about Howard. Need to see him get some solid minutes, bit like the last 10 minutes of the second half today. He seems to make too many "lazy" passes, he has a bit more turnovers than I would like to see. Lets wipe the slate clean and see what happens next year.

He seemed like he had a case of freshmen-itus. I hope he doesn't turn out like Kaleb.
 
Howard creates and he has vision. I look forward to him next year. Hopefully he improves his ability to finish at the rim and works on at least needing to be held accountable from deep. It's a shame it took until the ACC freaking Tournament for him to actually get run.

Despite two 5th year senior guards (plus) and insufficient interior depth (minus), this year's team came down to having to rely on too many freshmen for must shots. Still, SU had two-on-one under the basket on that last play and it would have been nice to see Cooney find Lydon with a pass. I'll chalk that up to the clock-out-of-normal-location snafu, which plagued Pitt in the first half but came up to bite Cuse at absolutely the wrong time.-VBOF

Can't defend the pass. It was bad. Huge, in a big moment. That said, if you cannot see the play making ability of Howard I don't know what to tell you. Very good passes to Lydon and G for open threes. Crunch time for the first time all year we decide to have him bring the ball up. Set play, bad screen, bad pass, bad turnover. No denying it. Projecting outwards to next year though?
 
Howard Killed SU. JBs decision to bench Cooney in last 3-4 minutes was disastrous. Not only did Howard throw the ball away leading to a two point fast break in the final minute, Howard is slow and his defense espcially wnen Pitt in bounded it with 9 second to play was horrendous. Look at JB screaming at him when he is way in Pitts back court and they were able to make the long pass in front court and then he had to run up and foul.. Then to put a cold Cooney back in the game with6.6 seconds to play UGH. This one is on JB.

Yes, if Howard makes a terrible turnover every time down the floor we won't be good next year. Because that is indicative of his entire performance the second half when he was crucial in creating offense and looks for others on the floor.

It's like the Cooney Protection Team tries going out of their way to bash Frank because they're self-conscious of the fact people on the board are starting to prefer Howard get some of Cooney's minutes, which today gave us a chance to win.

Howard shouldn't of even had the ball. I'm not bashing Frank, he played decent for the most part, but if you're going to be a PG you can't throw the ball to the other team. That type of play there is taught in Middle school.

He was benched for 10 minutes bud. And in case you missed it Cooney got benched for getting torched on defense 3-4 times in a row that gave Pitt their first massive double digit lead.
 
He's our only PG on next year's roster. Battle is, at best, a combo guard, that is ball dominant.

FH is extremely important next year.

So is take it to the basket until they stop you when down 1 with less than 10 seconds to go. Ones a freshman the other is a 5th year senior.

Was the play of the game. It gave Pitt 2 pts and the lead when they couldn't score. But the good news, he isn't Cooney so let's not blame him. He will be a role player here. He can't shoot at all. And while he is a slick ball handler, he pounds too much and turns it over too much.

Get over the Cooney crap and look at why we lost. We were tied with the ball with a minute to go.

That pass was the football version of the pick 6.
