SYRACUSE, N.Y. – For the second consecutive week, the Syracuse University field hockey team was ranked No. 13 in the nation in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, the NFHCA announced on Tuesday.
Syracuse holds an 8-3 overall mark through its first 11 contests and has been ranked in the coaches' poll in every ranking release to date this season. Every program in the seven-team ACC was ranked in the coaches' poll, as well.
The Orange also held its place in the most recent NCAA Division I Field Hockey RPI Rankings. For the second straight poll, Syracuse was ranked No. 17 in the country in the RPI Rankings.
Syracuse will host No. 5 Louisville on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at J.S. Coyne Stadium. Following its ACC clash against the Cardinals, the squad will head down to Ithaca, N.Y. as it takes on Cornell on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
