Both teams are probably in anyway, but if it did come down to us vs VCU for a spot, VCU lost to Duke, Georgia Tech, and Florida State, all of who we beat at one point. We would have more top 100 wins and win the common opponent battle. I think they are less "in" than SJU too, so we'll see.

Actually that's not the beauty of it at all. Best teams don't always win. Give me a 5 game series every round ( unrealistic) and then you'll see who deserves it.

Let me rephrase it, if we had no chance of getting into the tournament, I would have turned my attention to the nfl for a few days before the tournament.

I know. I said thy felt they needed 1 more win. They got 2. But who knows what the committee thinks. Everyone had them on the bubble before the tournament. Maybe the committee had them even lower.

Yeah I saw them as one of the stronger bubble teams a few days ago. I know they aren't on the bubble now.

The one edge that I would give SJU over SU (and its not necessarily related to NCAA qualification) is that they improved markedly over the course of the year and seemed to get better and better each week. Unfortunately the same can not be said for SU. We had an encouraging run when JB came back but have regressed over the last 2-3 weeks.
